High-Performance Aero Consulting for Race Cars and Advanced Vehicles

CFD · Wind Tunnel · Vehicle Development · Performance Optimization

From Formula 1 to real-world applications.

I help engineers, teams and technical professionals make better aerodynamic decisions.

Flexible Aerodynamic Consulting Approach

I work as an external aerodynamic resource, integrating efficiently within existing engineering structures or operating independently when required.

My approach is focused on clarity, speed and technical depth, adapting to the specific needs of each project.

This typically includes:

  • =
Project-based or hourly support, depending on scope and development stage
  • =
Fast integration into existing workflow, using client tools or independent CFD when needed
  • =
Clear and actionable output, focused on performance rather than volume of data
  • =
Direct tecnical communication, enablig efficient decision-making

Whether supporting a specific aerodynamic problem or contributing to a broader development programme, the focus remains on delivering results that can be implemented and validated.

Experience in Formula 1 and High-Level Motorsport

I have worked in Formula 1 and high-performance motorsport since 2011, as an Aerodynamicist and Senior Aerodynamicist at Epsilon Euskadi, Williams Racing (2012–2018) and Haas F1 Team (2018–2021), followed by independent consulting across multiple aerodynamic projects.

My work has focused on extracting aerodynamic performance through a consistent and correlated development process, combining CFD, wind tunnel testing and track data.

I have been directly involved in:

  • =
Aerodynamic concept development with clear performance targets (downforce, drag, balance)
  • =
Correlation between CFD, wind tunnel and track to ensure reliable performance delivery
  • =
Sensitivity analysis (ride height, yaw, pitch, roll) to improve robustness across operating conditions
  • =
Interpretation of track data to link aerodynamic behaviour with vehicle performance

This approach allows identifying not only peak performance gains, but solutions that remain stable and predictable across a wide range of conditions — which is critical in real racing environments.

For clients, this translates into:

    • =
More reliable aerodynamic performance, not just peak numbers
    • =
Better understanding of vehicle behaviour, enabling faster development decisions
    • =
Reduced development risk, through consistent correlation across tools
    • =
Targeted improvements, focusing on the areas with the highest performance return

Formula 1 represents the most demanding environment in aerodynamic development, where gains are marginal, development cycles are extremely short, and every decision must be validated across multiple tools and conditions.

This experience enables a structured and performance-driven approach to aerodynamic development, focused on delivering results that translate into real performance on track.
